The E-Waste Elimination Squad of the H-Ward invited our school to ‘LET’S DEAL WITH E-WASTE!’, and in what a way we did! St. Joseph’s Convent High School won the Second Place in the H-Ward E-Waste Competition lead by Team OASIS and Sony Music.
What began as a teachers training programme, five months ago culminated into the success of the entire school on 15 Dec 2015.
Phase I with its 10 enthusiastic students (who call themselves the E-chargers!!!) and the collection of 60kg of E-Waste brought us a guaranteed place into Phase II of this competition.
Phase II involved spreading awareness among 50 brigadiers who each enlisted the help of 20 commandos, thus increasing the student involvement to a whooping 1000.
Our school’s excellent participation in the E-Waste Art Installation, spreading awareness through Dancing Kasturbas, Skit, Power Point Presentation and Viva was highly appreciated.
Coupled with an E-Waste Awareness Day celebrated on 05 Nov 2015 with Art out of E-waste, Poster and Slogan Making Competitions and the E-Waste Gallery established our place in the top three schools.
Congratulations to the staff, students and parents who contributed wholeheartedly to our success.
